Our client who is a leading architectural practice in London is now seeking a Bid Manager to manage their bidding process on a wide range of exciting new projects.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
To manage the individual project bid process to ensure that a properly considered and co-ordinated bid can be presented for adjudication.
SUMMARY OF REMIT:
- Plan the bid approach.
- Monitor the sources of upcoming projects, such as the OJEU and current client / contractor notifications.
- Drive and contribute to the bid approval / qualification process.
- Produce and maintain a bid directive document
- Identify and pull together resources required to contribute to the bid and then manage this with our collaborative team, including other partners if required.
- Own the bid documents and maintain the bid files.
- Liaise with all identified departments such as HR, Finance, Architectural, Visualisation, Urban Design and Landscape as required to complete the bid.
- Liaise with the Business Development Manager and all relevant Project Directors throughout the process, where necessary.
- Manage the bid production plan ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Write, pull together and/or edit written contributions to the bid, if necessary.
- Assist with presentation materials when requested to do so.
- Meet deadlines and make all bid / tender / quotation responses within set timescales by gathering all relevant information from external / internal resources for solutions requested by communicating and liaising effectively.
- Monitor and report on bid status, recording number of bids, wins and losses to enable measurement of contribution and performance analysis.
- Produce post bid review and debrief virtual team, incorporating lessons learned to improve process or approach in future bids.
- In liaison with Financial Controller, Monitor and report on bid production costs.
- Learn all aspect of the role to ensure that the bidding process is seamless.
- To contribute to effective proposals by recommending and proposing changes to the existing templates, processes and procedures to provide / deliver an enhanced proposal to meet the customer requirements.
- Providing regular feedback to Directors to ensuring they are kept informed of progress of any major incidents and projects relating to bids / tenders / quotations and framework and / or issues affecting the bidding process.
- Regularly reviews and analyses reports identifying key areas of improvement to ensure repeat business and enhance the customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or similar, Graphics (Indesign), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe. Experience of working in a professional practice in a similar role desirable.
